Other projects

My 6mm army has been in hold and I have been working on other projects mostly finishing up some (and starting) my 1/16 scale figures.

I have re-based all my cavalry and am almost done my Eastern archers. I have based the first two stands.

Re-basing

I had planned this as a long term project from the beginning but it is still moving slower then I had expected. I have had to re-base all the figures I had already done, all my cavalry and most of my eastern archers. I had used a heavy card stock but the bases all started to warp from the watered down glue I used to glue the smaller rocks down. Good new is i have wood bases now so i should not have that problem anymore and I have all the cavalry done and most the archers finished. DF

6mm Cavalry

I have the first of my 6mm miniatures. Painted and based. I have based them for Hail Caesar and I think I did it right. I put them on 60mm x 30mm thick card stock. These are the first ones I have finished I have another 12 to go. I have also prepped my 42 archers I think I was supposed to get 48 but I only received 42 archers and three command. DF

6mm Army

So I got my order from Rapier miniatures today. In a word they are awesome! For about $25 Canadian I got 280 miniatures. Shipping was fast probably faster than I am going to get them painted.I have prepped my first batch glued them to a strip and will start painting them tomorrow. I am starting with my cavalry and I was digging around in my parts box and found the perfect material to base them on, you know when I get them painted, which will be tomorrow fingers crossed. DF

6mm

Wow it's been almost a year since my last post! Well I have a bit of an excuse, I have gone back to school. I have also had a bit of a change of direction in my legion project, I have decided to change my are to 6mm.I am going with Rapier miniatures 6mm line. It is mostly a cost thing but also a scale thing too, I think a full cohort of 6mm figures would look awesome! 200 plus minatures for almost half the price of a box of Warlord figures. I still love the Worlord figures but 6mm is way too economical to ignore. DF
